Radin And Corrigan Win MAAC Weekly Awards

EDISON, New Jersey - Following the Marist men's lacrosse team's season opener, senior Joseph Radin and redshirt sophomore Brian Corrigan were named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. The winners were announced Monday.

Radin had a hat trick in Marist's four overtime loss to Air Force of the Southern Conference on Feb. 20 in Tenney Stadium. He had nine shots, with seven coming on goal, and scooped up two ground balls to earn his second career MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honor. Radin is the conference's reigning Offensive Player of the Year and was unanimously voted the 2016 MAAC Preseason Player of the Year in December.

Playing in just his seventh collegiate game, Corrigan made 17 saves in Marist's 7-6 defeat versus Air Force. Three of his stops came during the overtime periods and eight more came in the third and fourth quarters combined. Corrigan picked up four ground balls, tied for second most by a Red Fox in the contest, and fired two shots on goal.

The Falcons had received votes in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/Nike Coaches' Poll earlier in the week and were coming off a one-goal loss to the defending NCAA Champion Denver Pioneers.

The Red Foxes will host Binghamton at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 in their second straight home contest.
