Mens Cross Country with 18th Highest GPA in Div 1

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York -- The men's cross country team finished the 2015 season with the 18th highest GPA in Division I cross country out of 173 schools, according to the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Red Foxes finished with a cumulative 3.508516.

During the fall semester, four members of the team finished with a 4.0, nine finished with a 3.7-3.9, 13 athletes finished between a 3.4 and 3.6 and six others finished with a 3.0-3.3. 

Marist also had 18 student-athletes named to the 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, tied for first in the conference and placed second overall in the MAAC Championships and third overall at the IC4A Championships. 

The women's cross country team finished with the 51st highest GPA. The Red Foxes' 3.543543 ranked in the top quarter of all Division 1 teams. 

Twenty One women were also named to the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2015 while the team placed fifth and first in the MAAC Championship and ECAC Championship respectively.
