POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's tennis team dropped their final Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season match of the season to the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 6-1, Sunday afternoon. With the loss the Red Foxes sit at 7-12 overall and finish conference play at 5-2.

Ariel Shulman and Caroline Lozo were able to win at the second doubles position as they defeated Quinnipiac's Sophia Dzulynsky and Sitilia Rencheli, 6-4. It was the Red Foxes only doubles win of the day as the Bobcats were able to secure the doubles point with victories at the first and third doubles spots.

Lozo won her second match of the day at the second singles position as she defeated Rachel Horton in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. It would be the Red Foxes only point of the day as they fell in straight sets in four of the other five matches.

Chloe Lant brought her match to three sets against the Bobcat's Rencheli but was unable to turn her opening set victory into a win as she fell, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.

The Red Foxes have already clinched a spot in the post-season tournament but will await the results of other matches to determine final seeding. Marist return to action at the MAAC tournament in West Windsor, NJ on April 30th.
