POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team (0-1) will play its second straight non-league home game as its hosts Patriot League foe Georgetown (1-0) on Saturday at Tenney Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:07 p.m. EDT, and the contest will be broadcast throughout New York State on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel (Channel 323).
A fireworks show will take place following the game's conclusion. Here is a closer look at the contest:

Geoff Brault (play-by-play) and Ed Weir (color) will provide the call on Rock 93.3 FM in Poughkeepsie. The pregame show will begin at 5:45 p.m. EDT. SERIES/SCHEDULE NOTES
- This the 19th meeting between Marist and Georgetown, the most of any opponent on the Red Foxes' schedule. The only teams the Red Foxes have played more in their varsity history are Iona (28 times), Saint Peter's (23 times), St. John's (23 times), and Siena (21 times).
- This is the fourth straight year Marist's three non-league opponents have been Bucknell, Georgetown, and Sacred Heart. This has occurred in seven of Marist's eight years in the Pioneer Football League.
- This is the first time Marist has started a season with back-to-back home games since 2010, when the Red Foxes played their first three at home.
TEN YEARS AT TENNEY
- This season marks Marist's 10th at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes' first game there took place on Oct. 6, 2007 against Duquesne, a 31-21 defeat.
- Overall, Marist is 21-28 at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes are 17-19 in day games, and 4-9 in night games. They are 15-15 in league games, and 6-13 in non-league games.
- Marist has had 10 crowds of 3,000 or larger. The crowd of the 3,363 for the season opener against Bucknell is the sixth-largest of all time. The largest is 4,721 for the stadium's first football game vs. Duquesne on Oct. 6, 2007.

MARIST IN THE NFL
Two former Marist football players are currently playing in the NFL. DE Terrence Fede (2009-13) was the first former Marist football player taken in the NFL Draft when he was chosen in the seventh round by the Miami Dolphins, and is in his third season with them. K Jason Myers (2009-12) was signed as a free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars in March of 2015, and is in his second season with them.
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
The Hoyas defeated Pioneer Football League foe Davidson by a score of 38-14 in their season opener last Saturday. Georgetown was picked seventh in the Patriot League this season. This year, three Hoyas earned Preseason All-Patriot League honors: tight end Matt Buckman, kicker Henry Darmstadter, and safety Jethro Francois. Head coach Rob Sgarlata is in his third season at the helm. Defensive back/special teams coach Kevin Doherty coached at Marist from 1992-97.
OUR LEADERS
The Marist football team will have four captains for the 2016 season. They are fifth-year senior S Michael Marston, red-shirt junior LB Jimmy Braun, red-shirt junior RB Marcellus Calhoun and senior CB Cameron Gibson. All are in their first year as captains.
