BRONX, New York -- A youthful partial squad of the Marist men's cross country team put together a strong showing at the Metropolitan Championships, held Friday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Powered by four freshmen and a junior, the Red Foxes placed fourth out of 13 teams in the meet.

Michael Kennedy returned to action after an injury layoff and led the Red Foxes, earning a top-20 medal with his 18
th-place performance of 26:52.0 on the historic 5-mile course at VCP. Four freshmen followed him across the line in rapid succession:
