POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's soccer team looks to continue its winning ways as they host the Niagara Purple Eagles on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. The Red Foxes (7-7-2, 4-3-1 MAAC) are currently fifth in the MAAC and are riding a two game winning streak, while the Purple Eagles have lost four consecutive matches. Since 2011, Marist is undefeated in all three of its home contests against Niagara. Â

The Red Foxes pulled an upset on conference leading Monmouth last Wednesday. The Hawks had been undefeated in MAAC play prior to their meeting with Marist. After a scoreless first half, sophomore
Keri Bradley broke the tie just 40 seconds into the second half. After Monmouth knotted the game in the 83rd minute, freshman
Jillian Colucci netted the game winning goal in the 88th minute off an assist from Bradley.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Junior
Hope Quinonez has had prior success against the Purple Eagles. In Marist's previous home matchup against Niagara in October of 2015, the midfielder scored the lone goal in the Red Foxes 1-0 win. Another player to look out for is Colucci, as the freshman currently leads the team in goals with four. Additionally, the forward has three game-winning goals on the season, which is tied for second in the MAAC.

SCOUTING THE PURPLE EAGLES
Niagara is currently ninth (6-7-2, 2-5-1) in the MAAC standings heading into the contest on Wednesday. Forward Courtney Betts currently leads the team in goals (5) and is tied for first on the team in assists (3). Goalkeeper Shania van Nuland has been a brick wall in net for the Purple Eagles. The redshirt sophomore currently leads the MAAC with a .833 save percentage and ranks fourth in the conference with a 0.88 goals against average.
