PHILADELPIA, Pennsylvania - Julia Gabay completed the Red Foxes second day of play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) regional tournament Friday afternoon. Gabay, after making it to the round of 64 failed to advance to the round of 32, falling to tough competition from Penn.

Gabay earned her spot in the round of 64 after winning her first match in the main draw on Thursday over Temple's Titova. After dropping the first set 6-1, the freshman bounced back and won the second set 6-4. Gabay then won a hard fought third set 7-5 to advance to the main draw singles round of 64. 

In the Friday's round, Gabay drew Penn's Marta Kowalska a junior from Krawka, Poland. Kowalska would take the first set from Gabay, 6-2, and then close out the Red Foxes' freshman, 6-2, in the second set.

The ITA's conclude the women's tennis team's fall portion of the schedule. Check back at a later date for the team's spring schedule release.
