POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The
 Marist women's soccer team travels north to Loudonville to face the Siena Saints Wednesday afternoon, a team they have not beaten in nearly five years. The last time the Red Foxes were victorious against the Saints was on October 6
th, 2012, when Marist won the contest by a 2-1 margin. Kickoff is schedule for 4 p.m. as the Red Foxes look to improve their 2-2-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record.
PREVIOUS OUTING
In their previous outing, Marist suffered a crucial 4-2 loss to Manhattan. The Red Foxes had plenty of opportunities to score, as they led the game with eight corners and 19 shots attempted. The Jaspers had zero corner kick chances in the matchup but were still able to pick up their first road win of the 2017 season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Forwards
Camille Bowen and
Kristen Reilly have been key contributors on and off the ball for Marist all season. In fact, during the Red Foxes' prior matchup with the Saints last year, Bowen netted the lone goal while Reilly tallied the assist in Marist's 2-1 loss. Bowen is currently tied for the team lead in goals (3) and points (6) despite missing the last two games due to injury, while Reilly is tied for second on the team in assists (2).
SCOUTING THE SAINTSÂ
Siena is currently riding a two game winning streak heading into this contest after they defeated Iona by a 2-0 score. Both Saints' goals were netted in the second half and they head into this game with an overall record of 6-6-0.Â
