WIN AND IN CHALLENGE

With a midweek victory over the first place Stags, Marist would clinch a berth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships for the fifth straight year. Having won six of their last eight matches, the Red Foxes are currently third in the MAAC standings behind the Niagara Purple Eagles (15-8, 11-3 MAAC) and the Stags respectively.

Fairfield has won 43 consecutive matches against MAAC teams, including in the postseason. The streak dates back to October 22, 2015. The Stags are also in the midst of a 19-set winning stretch.

Marist split its home contests against Rider and Saint Peter's. In a 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 18-25, 26-24) loss to the Broncs on Oct. 28, senior
Kelsey Ediger dove for a team-high 15 digs and collected seven kills. The Red Foxes added a point in the win column the following day, defeating the Peacocks in straight sets (25-12, 25-16, 25-13). Senior
Ashton Korona led Marist with four blocks alongside six kills Sunday.
PLAYERS TO WATCH

Junior
Taylor van der Biezen contributed double-digit assists in both matches last weekend, tallying 46 on Saturday and 30 on Sunday. She is currently ranked fourth in the MAAC in assists per set (8.80) and third in aces per set (0.42).

Sophomores
Nikki DeSerpa and
Megan Fergus have combined for 46 of Marist's 99 kills in the last two matches.
SCOUTING FAIRFIELDÂ
Fairfield won its 13th consecutive match of the season when it took down Quinnipiac, 3-0, on Oct. 27. As a team the Stags currently lead the MAAC in assists (12.49) and kills (13.07) per set. They are right behind the Red Foxes for second in the conference averaging 1.92 blocks per set. The Fairfield defense is holding the opposition to a .147 hitting percentage, which is the seventh lowest total in the country.

Senior Skyler Day leads the MAAC with 3.81 kills per set while sophomore Manuela Nicolini is atop the conference averaging 10.32 assists per set.

LOOKING AHEAD
Marist will play two of its final four regular season matches in McCann Arena this weekend. The Red Foxes will host Canisius on Nov. 4 and Niagara on Nov. 5. First serve for both contests is set for 1 p.m.
