Men's Basketball Hosts Army West Point Saturday Night

Red Foxes Face Hudson Valley For At 7 p.m. On ESPN3

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday night, when the Red Foxes (0-2) host Hudson Valley foe Army West Point (1-1) at McCann Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Ed Weir (play-by-play) and Steve Eggink (color) will have the call on ESPN3.

Last Time Out
Marist suffered a 76-73 loss at UMass Lowell on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Brian Parker led the Red Foxes with 22 points to go along with nine rebounds, followed by David Knudsen with 18 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the field. Aleksandar Dozic had team highs with 11 rebounds and seven assists to go along with eight points.

Tonight's Opponent
Army West Point enters at 1-1 following a 92-43 triumph over John Jay College in its last outing on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Matt Wilson leads the Black Knights in scoring at 12.5 points per game.

History
This will be the 17th meeting between the teams all-time, which ties for the most for the Red Foxes all-time against a team they've never shared a conference with (Marist has also faced Vermont 17 times). Marist leads the all-time series, 10-6. The teams last met on Dec. 20, 2015, when Marist earned an 89-83 triumph at West Point. That day, Brian Parker had his first career double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds en route to winning MAAC Player of the Week.
 
What's Next
Marist heads to Orlando for three games in a four-day span in the AdvoCare Invitational. The Red Foxes begin tournament play on Thursday, Nov. 23 against nationally-ranked West Virginia at 8:30 p.m. Marist will also play on Friday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 26. Times and opponents will be determined.
