POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team fell to the Army West Point Black Knights 94-73 on Saturday night at McCann Arena.
SUMMARY:
The Red Foxes went back and forth with Army West Point early on in the first half. The largest lead for Marist was 10 at the 11:40 mark after junior Ryan Funk put a defender on a poster for the slam in transition. The Black Knights chipped away throughout the half and ended up tying the score at 31-31 with 4:35 remaining. Jordan Fox's 20 first half points led Army West Point as they went into halftime leading 41-35.
Both teams came out for the second half trading buckets to start. Funk scored a quick five points to begin the second half as they still trailed 48-42. The Black Knights went on a run just a few minutes into the second half and went up by as many as 11 with a 63-52 lead at the 12:40 mark. The Red Foxes rallied back to get within 4 on an and-one by junior Isaiah Lamb with 9:40 left. Army West Point then answered with an 18-2 run that put them up 82-64 with 4:30 left in the game and they held on for the 94-73.

• The Black Knights shot 61% (14-for-23) from three point range while Marist shot 27% (8-for-28).
• Army West Point finished with 36 field goals compared to the Red Foxes' 27.
• The Black Knights shot 73% (8-for-11) from the foul line while Marist shot 65% (11-for-17).

• Jordan Fox went 11-16 from the field, 9-11 from three for a game high 33 points.
• Junior David Knudsen led the Red Foxes with 16 points on 6-for-11 shooting.
• Freshman Austin Williams scored his first career six points.
