AMHERST, Massachusetts – The Marist women's basketball continues on the road, this time against the University of Massachusetts Minutewomen on Thursday at the Mullins Center. Tipoff is scheduled for noon as the Red Foxes are in pursuit of win number four in their final non-conference game of the season.
PREVIOUS OUTING
A scorching hot fourth quarter from Temple did in the Marist women's basketball team as the Owls downed the Red Foxes, 83-77, last Saturday afternoon at McGonigle Hall in Philadelphia.
Alana Gilmer notched a career high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in the loss.

FIRST TIME FOES
The Red Foxes and UMass' Thursday meeting will be the first for both programs. The Red Foxes are 11-16 all-time against opponents from the Atlantic 10 with their most recent matchup against an A10 opponent coming at home against Rhode Island just a few weeks prior. The Red Foxes came away victorious at McCann Arena, downing the Rams, 64-42.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
UMass is currently riding a four-game winning streak and stand at 8-4 overall early on in the season. The Minutewomen currently have four players averaging double digits led by sophomore guard/forward Hailey Leidel. Leidel is currently averaging 17.2 points per game on .494 shooting from three point range. Genesis Rivera (15.0), Bre Hampton-Bey (12.1), and Maggie Mulligan (11.1) are UMass' other players in double figures.
