LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey - The Marist women's basketball dropped a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference contest to the Rider Broncs, 65-46, Tuesday evening at the Alumni Gymnasium in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. With the loss the Red Foxes fall to 11-15 overall and 8-8 in conference. Rider improves to 20-6 overall and 14-3 in MAAC play.

The Red Foxes offense could never find a rhythm as they only finished with one scorer in double-digits. Lovisa Henningsdotttir lead the Red Foxes in scoring with 11 points on 3-for-5 shooting from three.

Henningsdottir also had three rebounds and a block. Rebekah Hand and Hannah Hand each scored nine points. Rebekah Hand also had seven rebounds and five assists.

As a team Marist shot 16-for 53 (.302) from the field, 5-for-20 (.250) from three and 9-for-12 (.750) from the free throw line. Rider finished the game 26-for-58 (.448) from the floor, 8-for-24 from deep (.333) and went 5-for-6 from the foul stripe.

Rider outscored the Red Foxes 22-14 in the paint, 23-7 off turnovers and 31-7 in bench points.

After leading by three in the first quarter and seven in the second, the Broncs outscored the Red Foxes 23-10 in the third quarter to take a 52-32 lead into the fourth and would hold on from there.

The Red Foxes have a quick turnaround as they head to Fairfield to take on the Stags Thursday, February 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
