QUAKERTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA – The Marist women's tennis team dropped a dual match to the Bucknell Bison Friday afternoon. The loss is the Red Foxes first of the season as the team is 2-1 in non-conference action.

The Bison took the doubles point after winning at all three positions, 6-4, 6-4, and then 7-5. Bucknell's Lauren Fishbein then won the first singles point at the second position over Ariel Shulman.

Bucknell then took a 3-0 match lead with a win at the fourth singles position, 6-0, 6-3 over Callie Morlock.

Chloe Lant won the Red Foxes first match of the day as she defeated Bucknell's Michele Urbinati, 7-5, 6-3 but the Bison then clinched the match with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 three set victory at the sixth singles spot.

Both Sophia Moeller, from the fifth position, and Amy Galloway, in the third spot, extended their matches to three sets by taking the middle set but were unable to turn the momentum into wins.

The Red Foxes play again tomorrow as they travel to take on Lafayette on Saturday, February 25.
