OLEAN, New York – The Marist women's tennis team fell in non-conference action to St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes are now 6-5 overall.
The Bonnies picked up the doubles point winning at the first and second positions. Chloe Lant and Sophia Moeller battled at the second spot but eventually fell to Clara Herberts and Lauren Doversola, 7-6.
Claire Schmitz and Callie Morlock picked up a win at third doubles, defeating Kahlie Reisinger and Francesca Chin, 6-2.
In singles play the Red Foxes fared the same fate as doubles as the Bonnies won from the first, second, and sixth positions to clinch the match. Claire Schmitz won from the third position defeating Herberts, 6-2, 6-0.
Marist returns to conference action on Tuesday, April 11th against Fairfield. The Red Foxes have only three regular season contests remaining, two of which are in conference.
