POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's soccer team (1-0-0) fresh off its season opening win against Delaware St. travels to take on the St. John's Red Storm Tuesday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Belson Stadium in Queens, New York.

The Red Foxes defeated Delaware State 3-0 in its 2017 season opener Friday night at Tenney Stadium. Senior
Brianna Robinson started the scoring, converting a goal from a cross by freshman
Sarah Haselkamp at 16'.
The second goal of the game was scored off a header by freshman
Annika Nielsen from a cross by sophomore
Keri Bradley at 31'. The lone goal of the second half came off a free kick from 30 yards out by sophomore
Alexa Svensson at 53'.
Scouting the Red Storm
In its last contest, St. John's and La Salle battled to a 3-3 tie. The Red Storm jumped out to a 2-0 lead after goals from Allie Moar and Christina Bellero before the Explorers converted on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute. After a near four hour weather delay, La Salle tied it at two in the 54th minute before Zsani Kajan scored in the 72nd minute to give the Red Storm a 3-2 edge. In the final 10 minutes, the Explorers found the back of the net to even the score once again for good.
Red vs Red
This will be just the second time that these two programs have met. The Red Foxes pulled out a 1-0 road overtime victory in 2005 against St. John's. Junior Justine Caccamo scored the game-winning goal at 92:10 off a feed from senior captain Kat Murray. Prior to the game, the Red Storm was ranked 14th in the Northeast.
