Women's Soccer Hosts Delaware Friday Evening

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's soccer team (2-2-0) returns home to Tenney Stadium on Friday night for its final non-conference home match against the University of Delaware Blue Hens. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

PREVIOUS OUTING
The Red Foxes took a tough loss at the hands of the NJIT Highlanders on Wednesday afternoon, 2-0. Marist looked to have the advantage early on, taking an early lead in shots 5-0, but NJIT struck first with a goal at 28' and never looked back. Senior goalkeeper Ashley Houghton played 54 minutes in goal for the Red Foxes, making eight saves which included a diving stop with just two minutes to go in the first half. The loss was Marist's second road defeat of the season, although they are still undefeated at home.

Delaware enters Friday's contest winless to open the season. They dropped their first two games of the season to Villanova and Georgetown, respectively, and most recently tied Saint Joseph's on the road in double overtime.
