POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's soccer team wraps up non-conference play and will celebrate the senior class, as they return home to host the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at Tenney Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m..

LAST TIME OUT:

The Red Foxes are coming off a 2-1 last minute loss at the Army West Point Black Knights last Sunday. The Black Knights held possession for most of the game, and capitalized on a set-piece with 27 seconds left in the game when a header in the box knocked off the left post and into the goal, securing the victory for the Black Knights. Marist jumped ahead in the 50^th minute when from the left side freshman Allen Gavilanes found freshman Black Aronson in the box who buried the pass into the game of the next for his first career goal. However, the Red Foxes saw their lead evaporate just 14 minutes later and ensuing Black Knight pressure kept Marist on its heels for the remainder of the game.

HELLO POUGHKEEPSIE:

The match vs St. Bonaventure marks the first time Marist has played at home since its season opening 3-2 win over Albany on Aug. 25^th. The Red Foxes then embarked on a season long six game road trip, playing matches in three different states (Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island), one district (Washington D.C) and logged roughly 1,607 miles of travel.

A COUPLE TOP DOGS IN THE MAAC:

Freshman Allen Gavilanes is off to a torrid start in his collegiate career, leading the team with six assists, 10 points and 15 shots. He is also tied for first with two goals and is tied for second with six shots on goal. With those marks, Gavilanes stands in the top 10 of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, ranking first in assists, second in points and is tied for ninth in shots.

Junior Juan Parada is second on the team with three assists andranks fourth in the MAAC with that total.

Senior Mark Rajovic has played all 630 minutes for Marist in goal and has 33 total saves, a .750 save percentage and a 1.53 goals against average with one shutout. In the MAAC, he ranks fifth in save percentage, fourth in saves per game (4.71) and second in total saves.

AMONGST THE BEST IN THE NATION:

In addition to leading the team and ranking in the top of the MAAC, Gavilanes also stands amongst the nation's best, ranking fourth in total assists (6) and sixth in assists per game (0.86) in the NCAA.

Amongst active career NCAA leaders, Rajovic ranks third with 263 saves and ninth in minutes played with 5,410.68.

SCOUTING THE BONNIES:

The Bonnies stand at 3-3-2 overall and are coming off a 1-1 2OT tie at Niagara on Wednesday.

Senior Paul Afful leads the team with three goals, eight points and 24 shots, is tied for first with two assists and is second with 14 shots on goal.

Junior Luke Iacobellis has played all season in net and has 11 goals against, 37 saves, a 1.25 goals against average and a .771 save percentage.

The Bonnies have scored nine goals on the season, with one coming in the first half, six in the second half and one each in the first overtime and second overtime respectively. Their opponents have scored 11 goals, with three coming in the first half, seven in the second half, none in the first overtime and one in the second overtime.
