WEST POINT, New York – The Marist women's tennis team completed its first weekend of action Sunday afternoon at the Army West Point Invite. The Red Foxes capped off the tournament playing in two final singles matches.

In the A singles consolation Julia Gabay was upended by Army's Bridget Guenard, 8-3 and Sophia Chavarria saw her tournament run end in D singles consolation as she fell to Seton Hall's Anniek Jansen.

The tournament was a successful one for the Red Foxes as they saw numerous action in singles and doubles throughout the weekend against tough competition from throughout the northeast.

Marist will get right back at it this weekend at the Hofstra Invitational in Hempstead, New York. The Red Foxes will then prepare for their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action of the season as they travel to take on Rider on Oct. 17^th.
