RIVERDALE, New York – The Marist men's soccer team suffered its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win of the season, falling at the Manhattan Jaspers 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.

SUMMARY:

The Jaspers got on the board first just 22 minutes into the game when a loose ball in the box found a Manhattan player who found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead. Just over a minute into the second half, the Jaspers doubled their lead on a transition goal and less than 20 minutes after that, Manhattan again found the back of the net for the 3-0. With just over 10 minutes left in regulation, the Jaspers scored for a fourth time and then added a fifth with a few minutes left in the game to secure the 5-0 win.

• Manhattan outshot the Red Foxes 20-15 but Marist outshot the Jaspers 10-9 in shots on goal
• Jasper goalie Marcellin Gohier had 10 saves while senior Mark Rajovic and sophomore Ryan Sinnott combined for 4 saves
• The Red Foxes had 7 corner kicks to Manhattan's 4
