POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist Women's Basketball will head out on the road and take on the defending conference champion Quinnipiac Bobcats, Thursday morning in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action. The Red Foxes will be looking to remain undefeated in MAAC play after starting 3-0. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 a.m. and the game will be broadcast live nationally on ESPNU.
PREVIOUS OUTING
The Marist women's basketball team remained unbeaten in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with a 65-40 win over the Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday night at McCann Arena. With the win, the Red Foxes improved to 7-8 overall. In the second half, the Red Foxes built their lead to as many as 25 and held the Jaspers to only 16 points, the lowest point total allowed by Marist in a single half this season.
QUINNIPIAC HISTORY
Quinnipiac holds the 7-4 advantage over the Red Foxes in the two teams' all-time series including winning the last three contests. Last season the Bobcats handed the Red Foxes two lopsided losses en route to capturing the MAAC crown and the programs' first NCAA sweet 16 appearance. Since joining the MAAC, Quinnipiac and Marist have faced off twice in the postseason, splitting the two finals clashes in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
After making it out of a tough non-conference schedule 6-5, the Bobcats have rattled off four straight conference wins (Five overall) and now sit at 10-5. In the teams' last outing, the Bobcats stifled winless Iona, holding the Gaels to 38 points to Quinnipiac's 74. The Bobcats lead the MAAC in assists per game and have three players that score in double-figures but only two that are active, after losing senior forward Sarah Shewan to injury six games into the season. Jen Fay currently leads the team in scoring averaging 11.5 points per contest while preseason MAAC Player of the Year Aryn Mclure averages 10.5 along with six boards a game.

Alana Gilmer is averaging 20.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG and has racked up 18 assists. Gilmer is also 16-20 from the line in the last five games. Gilmer has scored 20+ points in three of the last five games, 24 at Temple, 20 at UMass, and 27 vs Monmouth.
Rebekah Hand is averaging 16.0 PPG, 6.4 RPG and is a perfect 8-8 from the free throw stripe.
