Red Foxes Host Stags Saturday Afternoon

Women's Basketball Returns Home For MAAC Game Against Fairfield

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist Women's Basketball will look to bounce back Saturday night when the team hosts the Fairfield Stags in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at McCann Arena. Tipoff for the game is set for 4 p.m. as the frontend of a men's and women's doubleheader. The Red Foxes currently stand at 7-9 overall and 3-1 in conference.

PREVIOUS OUTING
The Red Foxes led for most of the game but in the end dropped its first league game to the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 62-56, Thursday morning in MAAC play. The Red Foxes started the game on an 8-0 run spurred on by their defense. Marist would hold Quinnipiac scoreless for first five minutes of the game and 2-for-18 shooting in the first overall. However, Quinnipiac would chip away at the lead and eventually take it by the fourth. Marist would again regain the lead late but the Bobcats took control on free throws and offensive rebounds, earning three boards in the offensive end in the final three minutes to extend their offensive possessions and hold on to the lead for good.

TRIPLE DOUBLE? ... ALMOST
