POUGHKEEPSIE, New York --Â The fall 2017 semester at Marist College featured plenty of accomplishments for the Red Foxes' student-athletes:
- The semester grade-point average for the Athletics Department was 3.26.
- A total of 24 student-athletes had a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
- A total of 422 of Marist's 576 student-athletes (73 percent) had at least a 3.0 grade-point average.
- Of Marist's 23 Division I intercollegiate teams, 22 had a team grade-point average of at least 3.0 this past semester.
- A total of 68 student-athletes covering men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball, were named to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Teams. Men's and women's cross country led the MAAC in honorees.
- Dan Wittekind (football) was honored as CoSIDA Academic All-District.
- Dietrich Mosel (men's cross country), Ashton Korona (volleyball) Shannon Gordon (women's swimming & diving), and David Knudsen (men's basketball) were honored as MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week.
The spring 2018 semester at Marist began on Tuesday, Jan. 17. We wish our student-athletes the best of luck this semester.
