POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team (4-16 overall, 2-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) returns to action on Saturday when the Red Foxes face Monmouth (6-13, 2-5) at NYCB Live, home of Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Marist-Monmouth game is part of a tripleheader. The game will follow a contest between Fairfield and Quinnipiac, and precede one between Iona and Manhattan.
This will be the only meeting of the season between the Red Foxes and Hawks. Here's a closer look at Saturday's game:
On the Air
Dean Darling (play-by-play) and Ed Weir (color) have the call on the Red Fox Network. Monmouth will provide a video stream through the NCAA March Madness Facebook page, with Eddy Occhipinti (play-by-play) and Matt Harmon (color) on the call.
Last Time Out
Marist fell to Quinnipiac by a score of 85-77 on Thursday, Jan. 25 at McCann Arena.
Ryan Funk scored a season-high 23 points, which tied a career high. The Red Foxes set a season low with six turnovers, and had five double-digit scorers for the first time this season (Funk, 23;

Aleksandar Dozic 10). It was the first time Marist had five double-digit scorers in a game since March 2, 2014, also against Quinnipiac.
The Opponent
Monmouth is coming off a 67-56 victory against Siena on Thursday, Jan. 25. Austin Tilghman led the Hawks with team highs of 20 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Deion Hammond added 17 points. Head coach King Rice is in his seventh season at the helm.

- This is Marist's first neutral-site MAAC regular-season game since Feb. 21, 2005, when the Red Foxes faced Iona in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
