Men’s Basketball Travels to Manhattan For Tuesday Tilt

Red Foxes, Jaspers Went To Overtime In Season’s First Meeting

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team (4-17 overall, 2-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) concludes a stretch of four out of five games away from McCann Arena on Tuesday night, when the Red Foxes travel to Manhattan (10-12, 5-5). Tip-off at Draddy Gymnasium is set for 7 p.m.
 
The Red Foxes and Jaspers will be concluding their regular-season series on Tuesday. The first meeting between the teams occurred on Jan. 2, which Manhattan won 101-96 in overtime. It was the second of four overtime games Marist has played this season, which ties a single-season program record. Junior guards Brian Parker (33 points) and David Knudsen (28 points) set career highs for scoring in the contest.

Last Time Out
Marist fell to Monmouth by a score of 91-78 on Saturday, Jan. 27 as part of a MAAC tripleheader at Nassau Coliseum. Brian Parker had 24 points, five rebounds, and three assists. He was joined in double digits in scoring by Aleksandar Dozic (18 points) and Austin Williams (13 points). Marist battled back from a double-digit second-half deficit to take a two-point lead with 6:19 remaining, but Monmouth responded with a 15-0 run, which gave the Hawks the lead for good.
 
The Opponent
Manhattan was defeated by Iona, 78-65, in the third game of the MAAC tripleheader at Nassau Coliseum on Jan. 27. On the season, Rich Williams leads the Jaspers in scoring at 13.5 points per game. Head coach Steve Masiello is in his seventh season at the helm.
