Marist Heads Back To The Road, Takes On Quinnipiac

Red Foxes Playing First Away MAAC Contest Of 2017-18 Season

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team (3-12 overall, 1-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) plays its first road game in 19 days on Wednesday night, when the Red Foxes travel to Quinnipiac (5-11, 2-2). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be carried on ESPN3.
 
This is Marist's first road conference game of the season. The Red Foxes went 1-2 in their season-opening three-game conference home stand against Siena, Manhattan and Niagara.

Last Time Out
Marist suffered an 86-70 home loss to Niagara on Sunday, Jan. 7. Brian Parker led the Red Foxes in scoring (21 points), tied for the team lead in rebounds (six), and led the team in assists (five). Ryan Funk & Isaiah Lamb each contributed 10 points apiece. The Red Foxes held a 41-40 halftime lead, but were outscored 46-29 in the second half. Matt Scott led the Purple Eagles with 23 points and 15 rebounds.
 
About Quinnipiac
Quinnipiac won its first two MAAC games this season against Monmouth and Siena, but has dropped its last two against Canisius and Saint Peter's. The Bobcats are led in scoring by Cameron Young, who ranks fifth in the MAAC at 17.4 points per game. The Bobcats rank first in the MAAC in defensive rebounding percentage (.723). Head coach Baker Dunleavy is in his first season.
