POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist men's soccer is one of three teams in the MAAC with four wins so far this season. The Red Foxes are in for a challenge as they welcome the Jaspers on Saturday night, a team that previously received votes in the United Coaches National Soccer Poll. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- Men's soccer won in a thriller at Monmouth on Wednesday night, with Allen Gavilanes earning the "Golden Goal" in double-overtime.
- The Hawks took the lead in the first half, and goalie Sean Murray turned away any and all shots the Red Foxes took until the 83rd minute.
- Samad Bounthong saved the night, scoring off an assist from David Nkansah-Siriboe with just 7 minutes left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
- In the second overtime, Skylar Conway pushed towards the net and found an open Gavilanes who beat the keeper and gave Marist the victory.
