EASTON, New York – The cross country program put on an impressive showing at the Leopard Invitational, blowing away the field to win both the men's and women's titles. Michael Kennedy and Gianna Tedeschi took the individual titles as they led the Red Foxes for the second competition in a row.
 

MEN'S SUMMARY

• The men ran at 10:00 a.m., competing in the 8k.
• Out of six teams, the men took first while also taking eight of the top ten places.
• Michael Kennedy, James Draney, Alex Hogue, Riley Hughes and James Moehringer took first through fifth respectively, sealing the win for the Red Foxes.
• Hosts Lafayette and St. Joseph's took second and third in the team standings.

WOMEN'S SUMMARY

• The women ran at 10:45 a.m., competing in the 6k.
• Out of seven teams, the Red Foxes took first while also taking eight out of the top ten placings.
• Gianna Tedeschi, Shea Bohan, Hayley Collins, Emily Burns, Denise Grohn and Maria Smith took up the top six places respectively to cement the victory for Marist.
• With the win, the women have won three out of the four races they attended during the regular season.
• Hosts Lafayette and Lehigh took second and third in the team standings.

 

UP NEXT

The cross country programs will compete in the MAAC Cross Country Championships in Loudonville, New York on October 27. Both teams have been working towards this competition and are looking forward to strong performances.
