Men's Soccer Looks to Continue Streak at Canisius

Red Foxes Attempt to Capture Fifth Straight

BUFFALO, New York – Still tied for first in the MAAC soccer standings, Marist men's soccer has a chance to take the lone lead as they travel to face MAAC Preseason favorite Canisius. The game is set to start tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes defeated Manhattan 2-1 on Saturday to bring their MAAC record to 5-1-0.
  • The Jaspers took the early lead in the seventh minute, outshooting Marist in the first half 7-3.
  • The Red Foxes came out strong in the second half, firing off a series of shots before Samad Bounthong found Skylar Conway breaking through the defense for a 1-on-1 with the keeper and the goal.
  • 20 minutes later, Conway paid him back as he assisted Bounthong on a goal of his own to help Marist snatch the lead 2-1.
  • Manhattan turned up their shot attempts once again, but could not find their way past Ryan Sinnott as he made six saves to propel the Red Foxes to victory.

  • Canisius defeated Monmouth 1-0 to earn a 2-3 conference record.
  • Troy Brady has tallied 13 points this season with five goals and three assists, and ranks second in the conference with .50 goals per game.
