POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Red Foxes look to continue their strong play as they head to Buffalo for the weekend. They face Niagara University on Saturday, October 20
th at 1 pm and Canisius College on Sunday, October 21
st at 1 pm.

Marist is coming off a 3-0 win against MAAC rival Siena Saints. The Red Foxes came out hot and never looked back holding Siena to three sets with a stellar defense. Sophomore
Sarah Austin led both team with 11 kills. Marist finished the match with 12 aces from eight different players with senior Taylor Van Der Biezen leading with three.

Niagara sits at 6-13 overall and 6-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Their last match ended up in a 3-0 loss against Rider University. Jessica Streuer and Jaycie Roberts are players to watch for Niagara. Last match Roberts had a team high six kills while Jaycie Roberts a team high 22 assists.

The Golden Griffins sit at 9-10 overall and 7-3 in MAAC play. The last time out for them was a 3-1 loss against Saint Peter's. Leah Simmons and Cassidy Ceriani have been some of Canisius top players and have helped the Gold Griffins perform well in MAAC play. Last match Simmons posted 12 kills at a .306 hitting percentage and Ceriani recorded her seventh double-double of the season. Â
The Red Foxes took the match 3-0 earlier this season. Sophomore
Chidera Udeh had a match high .526 hitting percentage which set the pace for the Red Foxes the whole match. Sophomore defensive specialists
Courtney Kasperski set the tone for the defense with her career high 17 digs.

Marist opened up their conference play against Canisius this season and took the match 3-1. Junior
Nikki DeSerpa led the match with 16 kills, and also picked up a digs/kills double-double with 13 digs. Van der Biezen reached 2,000 career assists, finishing the match with 35.

The trip to Buffalo is one of the more challenging road trips in the conference. Earlier in the season, Fairfield lost to both Canisius and Niagara away, snapping the longest active conference win streak in the NCAA. However the Red Foxes have fared well over the last couple of years when they have travelled to Canisius and Niagara. Since 2013, they have gone 9-1.

After this weekend, the Red Foxes will head back home to prepare for another pair of games against Rider University on Saturday, October 27
th and Saint Peter's University on Sunday, October 28
