POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist Men's Soccer Team welcomes the Iona Gaels to Tenney Stadium on Wednesday, October 3 for another Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup. The Red Foxes are 1-1 in conference play so far this season, and will look to move above .500 against rival Iona. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 P.M.
Marist suffered its first MAAC loss of the season against the Rider Broncs 2-0 on Saturday evening at Tenney Stadium. Sylvain Coco netted the first goal of the game for Rider in the 36
th minute off of a well-placed free kick. Then, Rider extended their lead in the 51
st minute when Elliot Otmani connected on a tricky one-touch. The Red Foxes' comeback attempt fell short, as they were unable to connect on a goal in the second half despite outshooting the Broncs 9-7.
Ryan Sinnott had four saves in goal for Marist.
The Gaels are 5-3-1 thus far this season, and are 1-1 in the MAAC. Despite the impressive record, Iona is just 1-2-1 in away games this season. Last time out, Iona defeated the Canisius Golden Griffins 4-1, behind a season-best two goals from Tomas Jamett. Killian Colombie is the leading goal scorer for the Gaels, having scored four goals in just nine games. Goalkeeper
