POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist Women's soccer team will host first-place Monmouth on Wednesday, October 11th at Tenney Stadium at 7:00 PM. Monmouth and Marist sit one-two in the standings at 5-1 and 4-1 respectively. The winner of Wednesday's match will hold first place and the tiebreaker.

The Red Foxes got the win at home last time out as they beat Saint Peter's 3-1. Junior
Bianca Furci scored the first goal in the 30th minute off an assist by junior
Alexa Svensson. Marist would jump ahead in the 57th minute after a low cross from freshman
Victoria Colatosti deflected off a Saint Peter's player and into the back of the net, putting Marist ahead 2-1.

Monmouth is 5-1 in the MAAC and 10-3-1 overall. After losing their first conference game, they have won five straight games. On Saturday, October 1st, they defeated Quinnipiac4-1. Goalkeeper Amanda Knaub had eight saves and Dana Scheriff scored two goals.
