POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's basketball team (2-0) hosts Temple (2-1) on Sunday afternoon at McCann Arena. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

- Marist defeated Boston University by a score of 68-57 in its home opener on Friday, Nov. 16.
- Marist's bench contributed 32 points with big minutes coming from Lovisa Henningsdottir as she contributed 13 points, three rebounds, a block and a steal.
- Rebekah Hand and Alana Gilmer were the other Red Foxes in double-digit scoring with 15 and 12 respectively. Hand led Marist in rebounds (six) and assists (four).
- Temple enters the contest at 2-1. The Owls have defeated Delaware State and Saint Joseph's, and have lost at Ole Miss.
- Mia Davis leads the Owls, averaging 18.3 points and 7.7 rebounds.
- Head Coach Tonya Cardoza is in her 11th season at the helm, with a 202-129 record.
- Marist has started 2-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 season. If the Red Foxes prevail Sunday, a 3-0 start would tie the program's longest winning streak to start a season in their Division I history. The 2008-09 season also saw Marist start 3-0.
- Marist is 1-3 against Temple all-time. The Owls prevailed in last year's meeting in Philadelphia by a score of 83-77 on Dec. 16. Temple's last appearance in Poughkeepsie came in the first round of the 2015 Postseason WNIT. The Owls prevailed 67-54 that night, and are 1-1 at Marist all-time.
- The Marist bench has outscored the opposition's bench by a combined margin of 56-15 this season.
