POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team (4-4 overall, 4-1 Pioneer Football League) returns home to Tenney Stadium on Saturday, when the Red Foxes host Valparaiso (1-7, 1-4). Kickoff is set for noon.

The Red Foxes are currently tied for the second place in the PFL standings, and have won four straight league games and three consecutive contests overall.

- Marist cruised to its fourth straight league wins last Saturday with a 48-21 triumph at Morehead State. Both sophomore Mekhai Johnson (170 yards, three touchdowns) and red-shirt sophomore Darryn Jordan (101 yards) ran for over 100 yards. Senior Juston Christian became the PFL's all-time leader in receiving yards. Red-shirt sophomore John Pierce blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown. The Marist defense forced three turnovers, and its 21 points allowed marked the lowest total allowed in the league last week.
- Valparaiso was defeated at home by Drake by a score of 42-25. Chris Duncan threw for 302 yards and three touchdown passes while Mason Sutter and Griffin Norberg each had 96 yards receiving.
Marist travels to Drake for a PFL contest on Saturday, Nov. 10. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Eastern.
