BELFAST, Northern Ireland – The Marist men's basketball team is set to play its first two overseas games in program history. The Red Foxes will face Dartmouth on Thursday, and either LIU or Albany on Friday in the Samson Bracket at SSE Arena in the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic.
The Red Foxes opened tournament play last week with a pair of campus games. Marist fell to Stephen F. Austin by a score of 64-60 on Tuesday, Nov. 20, and to nationally-ranked Buffalo 76-49 on Saturday, Nov. 24.

- Marist will face Dartmouth at 4:30 p.m. local time (11:30 a.m. Eastern) on Thursday.
- LIU will then face Albany following the Marist-Dartmouth game.
- The winners of Thursday's games will face each other in Friday's championship game at 7:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. Eastern). The losers of Thursday's games will meet in Friday's consolation game at 5 p.m. local time (noon Eastern).
- Marist is 4-2 vs. Dartmouth all-time. The Red Foxes have won the last three in the series. The teams last met on Nov. 26, 2016, a 75-69 victory for the Red Foxes in New Hampshire.
- Marist is 2-10 against UAlbany all-time, with 10 of the match-ups occurring prior to the Red Foxes becoming a Division I program in the 1981-82 season. The last contest between the teams occurred on Dec. 7, 2016, which the Great Danes won by a score of 78-66 in Albany.
- Marist is 23-13 all-time against Long Island University. The teams shared a conference from 1981-97, but have not met since the Red Foxes left the Northeast Conference for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference beginning with the 1997-98 season.
- The Red Foxes' last game outside of the continguous United States occurred in the 2013-14 season, when Marist played three games in the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Ryan Funk currently has 199 career three-pointers. To date, five players in program history have hit 200 three-pointers in their career.
- Funk has not started a game this season, but leads the Red Foxes in minutes per game (29.0) and three-pointers made (14) while ranking second on the team in points per game (11.6).
- Marist is 28-for-36 (.778) from the free-throw line in its last three games.
- This marks the third straight season, and seventh of the last eight, that Marist has participated in an in-season tournament.
After returning to the United States, Marist will travel to Stetson for a contest on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m.
