Men’s Basketball Travels To Fairfield Thursday

Red Foxes Seeking First Season Sweep Of Stags Since 2006-07

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team (5-21 overall, 3-11 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) is back in action Thursday night. The Red Foxes will face Fairfield (10-15, 5-9) at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Last Time Out
Marist fell at home to Rider, 89-79, at McCann Arena on Saturday, Feb. 10. Marist built a 21-point lead in the second half, but the Broncs outscored the Red Foxes 28-4 in the final 6:05. Ryan Funk led Marist with 18 points, and Tobias Sjoberg finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Brian Parker had 10 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds.
 
The Opponent
Fairfield enters the contest having lost two straight, but the Stags had won three in a row prior to that. Tyler Nelson, who has been named MAAC Player of the Week twice this season, leads the conference in scoring (21.2 points per game) and minutes (35.7 per game). Jonathan Kasibabu leads the MAAC with a .664 field-goal percentage.
