Men’s Basketball Falls In Regular-Season Finale

Red Foxes Will Be #11 Seed In MAAC Championship

BUFFALO, New York – The Marist men's basketball team was defeated in its regular-season finale by a score of 98-74 at Canisius in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game on Sunday at the Koessler Athletic Center.

Marist is the #11 seed in the MAAC Basketball Championship. The Red Foxes will open play at 9 p.m. Thursday against the #6 seed, which will be determined by the ongoing Manahttan-Quinnipiac game. A Manhattan win results in the Red Foxes facing Fairfield. If Quinnipiac wins, the Bobcats will then face the Red Foxes. All tournament games will be held at the Times Union Center in Albany.

UPDATE (8:45 p.m.): Marist will face sixth-seeded Fairfield in Thursday's opening round.
