POUGHKEEPSIE, NY –  The Red Foxes take their first loss of the season falling to University Massachusetts 19-10.  Marist's record falls to 2-1 while UMass improves to 2-2.Â

Summary
 UMass was first on the board with a free position goal in the first two minutes of the game. UMass dominated draw control in the first half, finish 11 for 14 to help maintain possession of the ball throughout the first half.  The Minutewomen rattle off five more goals to take a 6-0 lead midway through the game.
Morgan Jaycox finally got the Red Foxes on the board with 12:45 left in the half, sparking a 3-0 run. The two team exchanged goals before UMass fired off three more goals to make it 10-4 at the half.

The Red Foxes came out strong in the beginning of the second half as
Samantha Mehalick immediately scored her second goal of the game. After UMass's Brinley Anderson and
Lauren Mazza exchanged goals, the Minutewomen went on a 5-0 run to give themselves a 16-6 lead.
Delaney Galvin made impressive saves to keep the Red Foxes in the game but they were unable to come back from the deficit.
