Women's Tennis Ready For MAAC Match Against Peacocks

Red Foxes Carry On With Spring Schedule Friday At Saint Peter's

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's tennis team will continue its spring schedule against MAAC rival St. Peter's in Jersey City, NJ. The match will start at 2 p.m.
 
LAST MATCH
The Marist women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to the University of Connecticut Huskies, 7-0 on Sunday, February 4th. Julia Gabay and Sam Galu paired up to defeat UConn's Jacqueline Lazaro and Cassie Chung, 6-3. For the second straight match, Julia Gabay took her singles match to three sets, eventually falling to UConn's no. 2, 7-5, 4-6, 10-5.
 
SCOUTING ST. PETER'S
St. Peter's has had a tough time this year, with a 0-6 record overall and a 0-2 record in MAAC play. They are coming off a 7-0 home loss to Providence College.
 
PLAYER TO WATCH
Freshman Julia Gabay has been a bright spot, with most of her singles matches going into three sets. She has also paired nicely with freshman Sam Galu in doubles matches.
 
UP NEXT
The Red Foxes have a two-week break before a two-match weekend in Pennsylvania. They will travel to Easton, PA to take on Lafayette College on Saturday, February 24th. The match will start at 3:30 p.m. Then they will stay in Easton, PA to take on Bucknell University on Sunday, February 25th. This match will start at 10:30 a.m.
