Women's Tennis Plays Lone Weekend Match At Binghamton

Red Foxes Look To Move Above .500 With Win Over Bearcats

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's tennis team will head west to take on the Binghamton Bearcats Friday evening in non-conference action. Match is set to begin at 7 p.m.

LAST DUAL MATCH
The Marist women's tennis team trekked east this past weekend to take on Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Saturday and Providence in Rhode Island on Sunday. The Red Foxes split their two matches and are now 5-5 (2-0 MAAC) in dual matches. The Red Foxes fell to Harvard on Saturday, March 10th. Harvard swept the match, winning all doubles and singles matches. The Red Foxes bounced back on Saturday with an impressive win as they defeated Providence 4-3 on Sunday. The Red Foxes took two out of the three doubles matches, and split the singles matches 3-3 with Providence.

WEEKLY AWARDS
Marist women's tennis freshman Julia Gabay was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. It's the second time in her career she has received the honor.
 
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats are 1-8 overall in dual matches and enter tonight's match losers of their last five. Binghamton last took on the University of Buffalo and fell to the Bulls, 7-0.

UP NEXT
The Red Foxes have wrapped up their more than month long road swing and returns home for three straight matches against Monmouth, Hofstra, and Fairfield starting on Saturday, March 24th.
