Softball Drops Two on Final Day of RDU/RTP Challenge

Red Foxes Look Forward to Home Opener April 4th

RALEIGH, North Carolina – The Marist softball team dropped two games on the final day of the RDU/RTP Challenge. They fell to Kennesaw State 8-0, and Niagara 9-1.

SUMMARY OF KENNESAW STATE

Junior Kallen Leeseberg started game one for Marist. She went 4.1 innings and allowed nine hits, eight runs, and two walks, while striking out four. Junior Megan Beiermeister tossed the last 0.2 innings before the mercy rule kicked in. She allowed a hit, a walk, and struck out one. The Red Fox offense struggled, putting just four runners on base and stranding all of them. SUMMARY OF NIAGARA

Freshman Hunter Hand scored the lone Marist run.
