POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement hosted the first FOXPYs event this Sunday at the McCann Center. The event celebrated the achievements of Student-Athletes both on and off the field. Student-Athletes nominated people for a variety of awards with Marist SAAC representatives voting on the finalists.
 
The event began at 7:00 pm with a red carpet ceremony. The award show began at 8:00 pm. The award show featured a packed crowd with all varsity sports well represented.

Faculty Appreciation Award: Carla Hill, Mathematics
Staff Appreciation Award: Kevin Coleman, McCann Facilities
Rookie of the Year: Allen Gavilanes, Men's Soccer
Red Fox Pride: Men's Lacrosse
Record Breaking Performance: Hailey Wagner, Women's Lacrosse (draw control records)
Unsung Hero: Stefanie Wenz, Women's Lacrosse
Female Athlete of the Year: Rebekah Hand, Women's Basketball
Male Athlete of the Year: Allen Gavilanes, Men's Soccer
Heart of a Fox: Steven Rizzo, Men's XC and T&F
Win of the Year: Baseball (MAAC Championship)
