POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – For the 17
th straight year, Marist led the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in selections to the conference's Academic Honor Roll. A school-record 273 Red Foxes were honored by the MAAC for the 2017-18 academic year.

The previous school record of 267 student-athletes was set in 2016-17.

The total of 273 student-athletes represents 21 of Marist's 23 varsity sports, with the exception of football and men's rowing. This past season, the Marist football program had a school-record 54 student-athletes named to the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll. A total of 10 men's rowers were honored by the Intercollegiate Rowing Association as All-Academic Honorees.

Marist's representatives on the 2017-18 MAAC Academic Honor Roll:
- Comprise 66 percent of eligible student-athletes.
- Are from 23 different states (New York, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Vermont).
- Are from 13 different countries (United States, Austria, Brazil, Denmark, England, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, Slovenia, Sweden, and Thailand).
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
