POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team was picked to finish seventh in the Pioneer Football League Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was announced Tuesday.

This season marks the Red Foxes' 10
th as a member of the PFL. In seven of Marist's first nine seasons in the league, the Red Foxes have finished equal to or better than their preseason projection. Marist won a share of the PFL title in 2013.

This season, the Red Foxes return five offensive starters and eight defensive starters. On Monday,
four Red Foxes were named Preseason All-PFL: fifth-year senior linebacker
Willie Barrett, fifth-year senior free safety
Wesley Beans, senior wide receiver
Juston Christian, and red-shirt junior nose tackle
Eddie Zinn-Turner.

The Marist football team will open the 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Georgetown. The Red Foxes will open PFL play on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Stetson. For information on season tickets, please click
here. This season will mark Marist's 10th as a member of the PFL. Two former Marist football players – Terrence Fede (Buffalo Bills) and Jason Myers (Seattle Seahawks) – are currently on NFL rosters.
