POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist women's soccer team fell to Army West Point 2-1 Wednesday evening at Tenney Stadium. After scoring the first goal, the Black Knights scored two unanswered goals to take the non-conference win. This loss dropped their record to 2-4-1.
- Anna Davies had the first scoring opportunity for the Red Foxes. She attempted a header at 3:17, but missed wide right.
- Kristen Prevosto had a scoring opportunity on a corner kick at the 24 minute mark. Her corner would have gone in, but it was saved by Army goalie Sydney Cassalia. She had another chance at 27:53, but shot wide.
- Army had a scoring chance at 35:37. Sydney Witham broke up a pass and had a one-on-one with Frankie Guzzo. Guzzo dove to her right to keep the game tied at zero going into half.
- Marist got on the board at 47:40. Keri Bradley booted a cross to Jillian Colucci, who headed it towards the goal. Colucci's header bounced parallel to the goal opening, but Kristen Reilly ran into the goal and headed the ball in.
- Army got on the board at 55:16. Kalie Rosenberger took a shot that was blocked by Marist, but teammate Shannen Almanera recovered the loose ball and fired it into the goal to tie the game at one.
- Army found the back of the net again at 84:12 to grab a 2-1 lead. Erynn Johns pounced on a loose ball in the box and passed it to Sarah Chamberlain, who sent a rocket into the goal.

- Army led in shots 13-6 and shots on goal 4-3.
- There were 21 total fouls in the game. Army had 12, while Marist had nine.
- Both goalies had two saves.
"I think that the end result of this game was pretty disappointing given how we came out in the onset of the game. I think we learned about some of the opportunities we cant give away in our defensive third, especially when playing such a quality opponent. Hopefully heading into the MAACÂ we can take away some of the strong pieces from our non-conference schedule and move forward." - Head coach
