POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist Women's soccer team will be heading to Iona College this Saturday, September 22
nd to face the Gaels. This will be the start of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play for the Red Foxes and kickoff is set at 11 a.m.

The Red Foxes prior competition ended in a 2-1 loss against Army West Point. Senior Forward
Kristen Reilly got the Red Foxes on board first with a goal assisted by
Keri Bradley and
Jillian Colucci in the 47
th minute. Army responded, netting two unanswered goals, one by Shannen Almenara and the second by Sarah Chamberlain to take a 2-1 lead and hold on for the win. With the loss, the Red Foxes wrapped up conference play at 2-4-1.

The Gaels, currently 0-1 in the MAAC with a 2-7 record, last faced off against Niagara to open conference play. Iona was unable to topple a tough Niagara squad, falling 3-0 in the contest. The Gaels currently sit at 2-7 overall and are losers of three-straight matches having not scored in any of the contests. Overall the Gaels have been shutout in six of their nine contests this season and have six goals in nine games.
