POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team will host Dayton in a Pioneer Football League contest on Saturday at Tenney Stadium as part of Family Weekend. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

- Marist fell to 0-3 on the season as the Red Foxes dropped their Pioneer Football League opener at Stetson by a score of 19-14. Red-shirt senior linebacker Willie Barrett had seven tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, and an interception. Red-shirt junior tight end Jon Kanda caught four passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
- Dayton opened PFL play with a 42-21 home victory over Davidson. Running back Tucker Yinger accounted for 124 total yards and three touchdowns en route to PFL Offensive Player of the Week honors. Punter Sean Smith was named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week after dropping three punts inside the Davidson 20.
- Red-shirt senior Wesley Beans currently leads the Football Championship Subdivision in solo tackles per game (7.7).
- Senior wide receiver Juston Christian is 10th in the FCS in yards per reception (25.4).
- The Marist defense ranks 11th in the FCS in Red Zone Efficiency, which measures percentage of total scores in the Red Zone.
- Marist has committed just one turnover in its last two games. For the season, the Red Foxes are +1 in turnover margin.
- Dayton leads the all-time series, 8-1. The Flyers have won the last four meetings, and are 4-0 all-time in Poughkeepsie.
Marist will play its final non-league game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 6, when the Red Foxes head to New York City to face Ivy League foe Columbia. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., and the contest will be carried on ESPN+.
