POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – In the Fall 2018 semester, Marist student-athletes earned solid marks in the classroom and plenty of accolades.

- Student-athletes had a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.26 last semester.
- A total of 24 student-athletes had a perfect 4.0 GPA.
- Out of Marist's 580 student-athletes, 419 (72 percent) had at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Of Marist's 23 Division I intercollegiate teams, 22 had a team GPA of at least 3.0, with 19 at 3.2 or higher.
- Michael Lorello (men's soccer) and Jillian Colucci (women's soccer) were named Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District.
- A total of 73 student-athletes were named to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Teams in volleyball, men's and women's cross country, and women's and women's soccer. Men's and women's cross country led the MAAC with 21 and 20 honorees, respectively. The MAAC All-Academic Team is open to those who have spent at least two semesters at their institution while maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.
- Four Marist football players were named to Pioneer Football League (PFL) All-Academic Teams. These are voted on by the league's sports information directors, and requires a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 with at least sophomore standing academically. The program set a record with 57 student-athletes named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll, which is open to anyone who earns at least a 3.0 GPA in the Fall 2018 semester.
- Lorello, along with Shea Bohan (women's cross country/track & field), Esabelle Gervasio (women's swimming & diving) and David Knudsen (men's basketball), were honored as MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week.
