The Red Foxes Return to McCann Arena to Take on the Saints

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist volleyball team returns to McCann arena on Friday, October 4 for an evening contest against the Siena Saints. After a brief hiatus from conference play for a weeknight matchup against Army, the Red Foxes will resume Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play, and try to improve upon their 3-1 conference record. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.

  • The pair have both had illustrious careers for Marist thus far, including both being in the top-10 on the program's all-time career total blocks list.
  • Check out the Red Fox Network's first rendition of "The NewlyRed Fox Game" featuring the duo.
  • Find out if they know where each other stand on the blocks list, if they know each other's favorite tv show, if they know who on the team in the most likely to run away from a bug, and much more!

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes dropped the Battle for the Hudson River on Tuesday, falling to Army in three sets.
  • The loss snapped Marist's three-match winning streak, although the winning streak still stands for MAAC play.
  • In the loss, Nikki DeSerpa moved past Assistant Coach Kelsey Lahey on the program's all-time kills list, taking over sole possession of seventh place.
  • DeSerpa led the Red Foxes with nine kills in the match, while teammates Madelyn Waumans and Fergus both had six kills.

A LOOK AT THE RECORD BOOK
  • As per the usual this season, ahead of Friday's match there are a couple of milestones to look out for.
  • Fergus, who currently sits at ninth place on Marist's all-time kills list, has 979 career kills. She is just 21 kills away from becoming the ninth player in program history to reach the 1,000 career kills milestone.
  • DeSerpa is close to moving up on the all-time kills list yet again. Just four more kills would move her into sixth place on the list, moving her past Courtney Shaw.
  • Nine kills in the next match will give DeSerpa sole possession of fifth place, moving past former teammate Kelsey Ediger.

SCOUTING SIENA
  • The Saints are 7-7 on the season with a 2-2 mark in the conference, an even .500 on the year all-around.
  • Siena heads into Friday's contest having won their last game against Saint Peter's in four sets. The Saints have won two of their last three matches, including a win over Binghamton, but a loss to Rider.
  • Ally-Reese Williams leads Siena with 154 kills on the season.
  • Maria Llinas leads the team in assists with 493 and is second on the team in digs with 149.
  • Abby Huffman and Maddy Dunigan lead the team in blocks with 46 and 45 total blocks, respectively.
