Cross Country Earns MAAC All-Academic Honors

Women Lead Conference, Men with Second-Most Selections

EDISON, New Jersey - The men and women of Marist cross country received MAAC All-Academic honors, it was announced Thursday morning. The ladies led the conference with 16 student-athletes named, and the men had 12 named for second in the MAAC.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at his/her institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

For the women, this marked the 12th-consecutive year that they led the MAAC for the cross country season. The men finished as a top-two school for the 14th-consecutive year.

The Red Foxes compete at the MAAC Cross Country Championships this Saturday. The meet is held at Holmdel Park in New Jersey, and the teams will face off with the best in the conference to begin the championship season.
